My Hope is in the Lord

220px-Jonathan_Edwards_engravingIn his pursuit of holiness, Jonathan Edwards penned 70 Resolutions that he reviewed every day.  These statements were to be a guide as he walked in his relationship with Christ, and to be done for the glory of God.

Resolved, never to count that a prayer, nor to let that pass as a prayer, nor that as a petition of a prayer, which is so made, that I cannot hope that God will answer it; nor that as a confession, which I cannot hope God will accept.
